Meditation is an aware, relaxed, focussed state. It is not sleep. When in meditation our minds are actually “super’ alert while our bodies are ‘super’ relaxed and comfortable. Meditation is a self-management strategy that has practical benefits. You can do it anywhere or in the privacy of your own home and it is free. Meditation is a permanent and natural way of treating and healing whatever the mind creates. “It allows access to the subconscious mind so that positive changes to our limiting beliefs, attitudes and negative habits can be made at a deeper level. It can help people overcome emotional issues such as phobias and lack of self esteem, help people with problems sleeping or wanting to give up addictions, help people to cope with chronic pain, release stress and anxiety and reduce blood pressure.” Classes are held at the tutor’s home. Members are not required to bring anything.
